Meritt Records (formerly known as Affable Music LLC) is a U.S.-based record label with a growing roster of talent spanning the United States and West Africa. The label proudly represents Liberian Afrobeat artist F.E.J, Trapco star Punchie the Zombie, and Afrobeat sensation Laj Bee.

 

Founded in 2005 as a publishing house supporting emerging Liberian artists in the U.S., Meritt Records has since evolved into a powerhouse of producers and songwriters. Today, its music is distributed worldwide through Symphonic Distribution.

 

Driven by innovation and a commitment to the Liberian music scene, the label has recently shifted its focus toward the broader West African market. Its mission is to strengthen and elevate the region’s sound on the global stage—rebuilding, competing internationally, and expanding its digital presence.

 

In keeping with its dedication to artist development and collaboration, Meritt Records has partnered with like-minded labels. One such partnership gave rise to E-boy Music, founded by artist E-boy, which shares the vision of fostering creativity and advancing the Liberian music industry.

 

As part of its upcoming major West African expansion, Meritt Records has announced the addition of new talents, including Punchie the Zombie, Laj Bee, and Colors. Punchie the Zombie, based in Liberia, marks the label’s first locally signed Liberian act. To further support its growing presence, Meritt Records is preparing to open divisions in Monrovia, Liberia, and Accra, Ghana.
