​Meritt Records is a U.S.-based independent record label and music company with a growing roster of artists, producers, and creative talent spanning the United States and West Africa. With deep roots in Liberian music and culture, Meritt Records is committed to developing exceptional talent and creating opportunities for African artists to reach audiences around the world.

The label proudly represents a diverse roster that includes Liberian Afrobeat artist F.E.J, Trapco star Punchie the Zombie, Afrobeat sensation Laj Bee, CV Tay, and other emerging talents shaping the next generation of African music.

Our Story

Founded in 2005, Meritt Records began as a publishing house dedicated to supporting emerging Liberian artists in the United States. What started as a platform for songwriters and independent artists has grown into a multifaceted music company bringing together artists, producers, songwriters, engineers, and music professionals.

Today, Meritt Records operates with an international vision while remaining deeply connected to its Liberian foundation. The label provides support across artist development, music production, distribution, marketing and promotion, release management, digital strategy, licensing, and brand development.

Music released through Meritt Records is distributed worldwide through Symphonic Distribution, providing its artists access to major digital music platforms and audiences across global markets.

Expanding Across West Africa

Meritt Records is entering a new chapter of growth.

As part of its West African expansion, the label has continued to strengthen its roster with emerging talent from the region, including Punchie the Zombie, Laj Bee, CV Tay, and other developing artists.

The signing of Liberia-based Punchie the Zombie marked an important milestone as Meritt Records' first locally signed Liberian artist and represented a renewed commitment to discovering and developing talent directly within Liberia.

To support this growing presence, Meritt Records is working toward establishing operations in Monrovia, Liberia, and Accra, Ghana, and Lagos, Nigeria, creating a stronger foundation for artist development, marketing, promotion, partnerships, and music-business opportunities throughout West Africa.
